compile the program with COMMIT(*NONE) OR in your program set the option: C/exec sql c+ Set Option Commit=*None c/end-exec Thanks, Tommy Holden -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Fleming, Greg (ED) Sent: Friday, July 08, 2005 10:00 AM To: rpg400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: SQL newbie question I'm new to embedding SQL, and I have what seems like a silly problem. I did search the archives, but all the entries regarding problems with delete statements in SQL had to do with the complexity of the statement, wheras the following is rather simple, but doesn't seem to work. Here's the statement: C/Exec SQL delete from oebhxd C+ Where ASItem = '90000' C/End-Exec ASITEM is a 12 character field. This works fine in interactive SQL. When I run it embedded in SQLRPGLE, SQLSTT returns a '55019'. What am I doing wrong ?
