Doesn't need multiple lines, you just need to make appropriate use of %dec
to force the appropriate accuracy at intermediate points in the calc.

Without seeing the calc and knowing the precision of each of the fields
involved I can't suggest how best to do it, maybe the original poster would
do us a favor and post the details.
