Actually, the user-interface components are not Java and will not work on
MAC OS. Like many Java-related things, the user-interface elements in Java
where too slow so IBM opted to use native platform components. That is they
integrated support for Microsoft Windows Common Controls.

WDSc is written in Java.  Should run with no problems on the Mac.  Free to
order from IBM if you've got a license for OS400.
