If you want something fast and easy, one choice is to use CSV (comma separated) format. Excel opens/reads this format with no problem; another is HTML which Office reads somewhat easy. To use the first option you either need to write your own CSV generator, use the CPYTOIMPF CL command, or use CpyToCSV() procedure in RPG XTools. To use the second (HTML) option, you need to use CGILIB in RPG xTools or something like CGIDEV2. Another option is the POI interface which Leif has on his site. -Bob Cozzi www.RPGxTools.com If everything is under control, you are going too slow. - Mario Andretti -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jeffrey Young Sent: Tuesday, May 31, 2005 1:13 PM To: rpg400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Create Excel spreadsheet from RPGLE Does anyone have an example of generating an Excel file from a member using an RPGLE program? I saw some references in the archives, but the links that they refered to were no longer active. Thanks, Jeff Young Sr. Programmer Analyst Dynax Solutions, Inc.
