Just use MONITOR. I tested it previously. It should work. -----Original Message----- From: Jonathan Mason [mailto:jonathan.mason@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, May 27, 2005 2:41 AM To: rpg400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Trapping erros in QCAPCMD I have a program that makes a call to the QCAPCMD api to run a variety of commands. However, occasionally a command fails and an exception message is sent before control is returned to the calling RPG ILE program. In my program I am coding for errors being returned by QCAPCMD, but as the exception is happening before control is returned I am stuck. Is there any way to prevent the api from generating the exception message and to pass control back to the calling RPG ILE program? Thanks Jonathan
