I am on track to learn to use the Java POI classes, but in the mean time, there is a shortcut that I use. I create an HTML page with a table in it, using data structures, and output this to a file on the IFS. This file contains HTML language, but I create the IFS file with the extension '.XLS'. I then use STRPCCMD, with the path qualified IFS file name, and Excel opens the file, reads the file, and displays it. You can even embed formulas in the table, and excel will interpret them as formulas. I can send source if you are interested. On 5/27/05, Douglas W.
