<shameless plug> Just access the "reference" screen, either from the services screen or by typing CALL VIEWREF at a command line. You get a chart of what characters and attributes look like on your particular terminal or emulator, among other things. (There's also a chart in the back of the QV manual.)</shameless plug>

Then again, competing products may have something similar. (Although the only time I pay much attention to competing products is on the rare occasion when they come up with something useful that we don't have.)
