UpdHtmlVar is limited to 1000 characters.

If the data is only 2980, you shouldn't need to use updHtmlVar2, and you could use updHtmlVar. But i understand if you're just playing around. :)
I don't show you're filling the prtlen value in your app.
If you need to insert data that is more than updhtmlvar can handle, then it's probably best to use an SSI if possible.. depending on what the type of data is.
