Eric,
Read my response again.
You say the "OPTION" keyword in the header spec (which I highly recommend)
is the same as the "DGBVIEW" keyword on the command. They are different.
DBGVIEW is NOT supported on the Header spec. Never has been.

"Recommend"? I simply gave him an answer to his question. I happen to
change the default for the compiler commands on each release for the DBGVIEW
parameter, which I happen to believe have the wrong default values.

What?!? Why oh why would you recommend changing compiler defaults? Simply
adding this H spec will handle the issue with requiring a command default
value. As I recall, this was available in V4R4.....

H Option(*SrcStmt:*NoDebugIO)

Again, this is not a V5R3 issue. It is a compiler parameter issue.
Run this if you want to:

CHGCMDDFT CMD(CRTBNDRPG) NEWDFT('dbgview(*source)')
and
CHGCMDDFT CMD(CRTRPGMOD) NEWDFT('dbgview(*source)')

And you'll end up with the same results as you had on your earlier release.

We just upgraded from V4R5 to V5R3.

The programs compiled on the new version does not show the source
statemets when debugging. If we prompt the compile and change
DBGVIEW(*SOURCE) from DBGVIEW(*STMT) it works.

Is there a control H spec that it will show the source statement on
V5R3?
