Does FileA in ProgramB has Commit keyword on the F spec? If so, you will need to execute commit on ProgramA to get the data to stick. If not, I'm not sure how that is possible. -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of fkany@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, May 09, 2005 3:28 PM To: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Ignore COMMIT Good afternoon, ProgramA has COMMIT specified on FileA. ProgramA calls ProgramB which also uses and updates FileA. ProgramB does not have COMMIT anywhere in the program. When in debug and ProgramB trys to UPDATE FileA, the data is written to FileA, but as soon as ProgramB RETURNS to ProgamA and ProgramA ends, the data is not there in FileA. Is there a way to force ProgramB's changes to FileA? If not, how can I get the data to stick?
