We've also tried running a 'RCVMSG PGMQ(*PRV (*))' from a CL that is
called by the RPG, but that doesn't remove the message either.
Interesting. Have you tried specifying the program stack by name instead
of saying "previous to this one"? My concern is that there may be
additional call stack levels between the CL code and the actual stack
entry that the message is sent to.
Remember that ILE programs receive an extra call stack level for the "PEP"
that gets called when they start up. Also, subprocedures add to the stack
level. So, if the message always goes to a particular call stack entry,
maybe it'd be easier to erase it using the entry name rather than using
*PRV (*)
You should be able to do this from within the RPG program using the
QMHRCVPM API, as well as the CL command.
