On V5R2, the precompiler does not support the QUALIFIED keyword (it is supported in V5R3). PTF SI11744 was created so that a qualified data structure would not be defined so the user would not think that the qualified data structure could be used. When there is an OVERLAY keyword, the precompiler will not allow you to use it in a blocked fetch statement since it does not support the OVERLAY. The DIM keyword on a subfield of a data structure that is used in a blocked fetch does not work since each subfield is for each column being fetched. A column cannot be an array. Another note about DIM is that it is not supported on the DS until V5R3. The precompiler also requires all variable names to be unique throughout the entire source. It doesn't matter if they are in procedures. There is no scoping in the precompiler. So since you are using LIKE, the subfields may not be defined since the precompiler found duplicate names. It also may be helpful to compile with the OUTPUT(*PRINT) OPTION(*XREF) and looking at the cross reference section of the precompiler listing. There you could see if/how the precompiler is defining a variable.
