I see many answers but haven't had time to read them.  Here is what I
do.  Please ignore if these have already been mentioned.

Compile rpgle with debug *all.

On iSeries emulator, strdbg pgm updprod(*yes) and set break points (F6)
or F10.  You can then either come out of debug module with F12 or simple
F21 (command line) and call the module with desired parameters.  It will
immediately step into the code.

On WDSC, you will have to click on the module open and setup break
points, select Debug and setup parameters and values to pass. You could
then call to step into debug mode.
