Originally I was going to reply RTFM. However there were NO reference in the ILE RPG Reference. And what references in the ILE RPG Programming guide said simply that FREE is not supported, or "You must replace the FREE or DEBUG operation code with equivalent logic either before or after conversion". So, in a round-about way I guess I'll reply RTFM's, but I'll be more patient. :-) First, read the old RPG/400 manual for what you were getting FREE to do. Then, read the ILE Concepts manual for how to do it in ILE now.
