To add to what Bruce and Bob already said... I'd make a named constant,
maybe called "CCSID_ALL" or something to that effect, and put it in the
/copy member with your prototype.
D CCSID_ALL C CONST(-1)
This way, when someone calls your utility, they can pass CCSID_ALL as a
parameter, and it'll copy everything. And your code can check for
CCSID_ALL so that the next guy reading your code will know what it means.
