That's because the RPG runtime will automatically convert a String object from ASCII to EBCDIC when you call getBytes() to receive it from a Java class. Unfortunately, the profile token isn't in ASCII. (it's not in EBCDIC, either -- it's not text) so when it converts it, it corrupts it. You seem to be going out of your way to make this as complicated as possible, and it's really starting to frustrate me. Are you sure you don't just want my RPG base64 decoding routine? Wouldn't that be easier?
