I would probably define an externally described data structure with the
extname keyword and the record format. The data structure will always have
the current values of the record without any evals or moves.

In fact the whole process you describe probably would be a very good
opportunity to practice with data structures because you probably want more
than one data structure to complete your task.

Subject: Copy whole record.

    Hello,
I would like to write the simply update trigger program which take the
updating record, add some new information and add it to another file.

Does anyone know how to make it the simply way (without moving each
fields
separately)?

    Thanks
    Regards
    Jarek
