Any thoughts

I took the source for5 programs and I ran them through the ILE converter. I 
made no changes to the ILE source code that was generated, I simply compiled 
it. I then ran multiple tests of these using the OPM programs and then running 
using the ILE programs.

The tests all produced identical output, but when using the ILE programs it ran 
in about half the time that it required using the OPM programs. On average, it 
took about 20 minutes using the OPM programs and about 10 minutes using the ILE 
programs.

I don't know why the ILE programs improve the performance so significantly. Any 
thoughts?
