No, sorry, I have no idea.  When it comes to subfiles, RPG is just a
go-between.  The RPG compiler doesn't know or care about most of the
subfile related keywords.  We just pass the data buffers to/from the
system.  So I've rarely had to deal with the really gory details of
subfiles except what I've needed for testcases and the occasional tool.
