I don't mind updating my copies nor would I mind seeing IBM's recommended conditional compile source directives. But I would _not_ want to get caught trying to track down a simple typo in one of their upgraded source members just because I had an emergency fix that I needed to promote to production shortly after some system upgrade. I'll make my copies and test and debug in a development environment. And until I've done that, I'll want to keep referring to the ones that I'm already confortable with. It'll take a lot of convincing before I ever recommend to refer to QSYSINC members directly. It's too easy to do your own copies and the benefit is far too great.
