Thanks to everyone, I was able to use the suggestions and get around this, by changing the copy book like Bob suggested. I also decided last week to open a PMR with IBM to get them to include the compiler directives in the QSYSINC, and this is the reponse from the IBM developer that was forwarded to me by the Partner world for ISV's. "Providing conditional compilation as suggested by the ISV for ILE RPG is a known requirement and one that I hope to satisfy in a future release. Header files for OPM RPG and COBOL would not support this as they do not provide for the necessary compiler directives (much like ILE RPG didn't for the first several releases)." So we can hope that IBM will do the right thing in the future, :-) Thanks again for all the help Krish
