Good morning Bob What you need to do is build a new dfu Upddta will show you all the fields defined in the file in the order defined ... if that's ok, use it. Otherwise do the following. So, you need to enter the command .... strdfu and use the option to create a new dfu. It is not totally different from the old days but read the screens 1st. Save you dfu pgm when you are done. You need to use the dds file definition to get your fields etc. So, the dds name might be w2files or something else you called it when you converted your database. If you do not have dds for it, you're out of luck. But you should have something somewhere that can tell you the defenion. Now in you cl, instead of update, you need to use CHGDTA DFUPGM(KW2200D) FILE(W2FILES) ... KW2200D being the display format name you gave DSPDTA will not list a file You need to either write an rpg program to list your file or use Runqry Terry Nonamaker Exterior Wood Inc. -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Bob Anderson Sent: Wednesday, November 03, 2004 7:43 AM To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Subject: S36 OCL to CLLE conversion Good Morning, I am converting some old OCL36 to CLLE and I have run into a few small problems. in the following line // UPDATE W2FILES,KW2200P,W2FILES,100,,,KW2200S,,,KW2200D I believe that this is related to a DFU36 file that I have but I'm not sure how. Also // IF &PM06 =Y IF &PM01 =9W29 LIST W2FILES,KW2200P5,W2FILES,SORT,,,KW2200S5 I think this means it is building a print file using a certain sort criteria. For anyone out there that has done this before, am I on the right track??? Thanks in advance Bob Anderson EDI Coordinator Kent Sporting Goods Inc.
