And for that matter, it isn't rocket science for a home-grown utility to do it either, with the added bonus you can do it with any source type, not just RPG. I did one many years ago which handles both pre & post compile commands (with either continuation or cancel when errors occur), compile overrides, etc. And works with RPG, CL, DDS, etc. While we arguably shouldn't have to invent that wheel ourselves, it is a pretty simple one to create. I'm sure plenty of people have done so. It sure beats waiting for IBM to add it. I've been doing it since long before you could even add H spec compiler options to RPG source. Doug
