If blanks are not valid in your array you can do what I am doing and
testing for a blank.  The variable TEST is equal to blanks in this
example

x = %lookup(test:A_CC);              
 For i = 1 to (x-1);                  
 Type = CC;                           
 WorkText = A_CC(i);                  
 Text = newString(%trim(WorkText));   
 addAddress(mail:Type:Text);          
 Endfor;

there is probably a way to get the number of used elements in a table
but i haven't found it. could someone tell me where to look or how to do
that.

the bif %elem seems to return the max number of elements of a table, in
my case 100.
