Michael,

I tested your code on our system and can just verify, that it works
correctly. I tested it with fixed length input/output fields and also with
varying length fields. It works in both cases. Sorry, can't help!

I getting the following error: Length of varying length variable is out
of range
I receive this error on the following statement :

The program normally runs in Batch, but if I run the program
interactively I don't get this error, Maybe its just coincidence.  
Can someone tell me whats wrong?
