Hi Scott, yes it will be an ILE pgm running from an OPM environment - I just thought you were restricted in what you could and could not do in this case (i.e. called procedures are not allowed etc).

The newer version of Plex does support the ILE compiler but we are not there yet.
Yes OPM is a bad solution but until we upgrade Plex I am stuck with keeping the OPM environment.

No, it requires ILE.  If you want to use it from an OPM environment, you
should put it into an ILE program that's running in a named activation
group (probably QILE) and then call that program from your OPM software.

I haven't a clue what "Advantage Plex" is...  Frankly, trying to use OPM
to parse XML is like trying to take a wooden wheel from a covered wagon
and install it on your mini-van.  It's probably physically possible, but
it's not going to be a good solution.
