The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Joep,
the only way I have found to get OVRDBF to consistently do what I want, ie
the OLD way, is to use OVRSCOPE(*CALLLVL)
That is the way we use it in our applications, when the CL does the override and
the OPNQRYF and then calls the RPG. But in utility programs I often do overrides
from within an RPG program through QCMDEXC. When I call QCMDEXC directly I could
use *CALLLVL, because QCMDEXC somehow does not count as a call level. But when I
use a wrapper around QCMDEXC, the wrapper becomes the call level; with *CALLLVL
the override has disappeared when the wrapper ends. In that situation I use the
default.
