Maybe I'm missing something - but doesn't it make more sense to write a simple (?) java wrapper that presents a more straightforward interface to the RPG code? It seems to me that we're getting into an ugly and probably error prone solution that makes life harder than it need be. Wrappering also offers the option to provide a cleaner method of handling any exceptions thrown by the Java code. Most of the methods I've seen for handling that within RPG are not at all nice!
