You can use group fields for this.  Susan and I wrote an article called
"D-spec discoveries" which you can link to from our web site partner400.com.

In essence what you need to do is this - not tested but should work.

D AnyDSName     DS
D   Group
D     HSMTYP                    Overlay(Group)
D     HSMCAT                    Overlay(Group: *Next)
