What is the inz value of pos?  You have no statement to set the value to
1 (which I assume you want...)

Also, wouldn't you encounter an endless loop if you DO find a ";"?  At
that point pos will never change, but you have no logic to break the
loop...  

Knowing what you actually want to accomplish would help...
