Henrik Krebs posted a home grown preprocessor many years ago. It isn't too hard to do. Make a separate routing entry that drives your compiles through your own command processor instead of QCMD. When it sees a CRTRPGPGM, etc. command, it opens the source member, reads the special preprocessor 'comments' and constructs a new job stream by sending OVRxx and the like as request messages to QCMD. When all done, literally CALL QCMD which reads the request messages and processes them. Non-CRTxxx commands can simply be echoed as request messages to QCMD. --buck
