I believe the answer is no. Client Access (iSeries Access) is a licensed product on the iSeries and the end user would have to have iSeries Access installed in order to legally run the application. I don't know what the mechanics are of even running the Client Access ODBC driver without the licensed product installed on the iSeries itself. Will it run? I don't know. If you want to eliminate the licensing issue, you should just bundle the application with something like the Hit ODBC driver (hitsw.com). It doesn't require Client Access on either the PC or the iSeries and is it a much higher performing and stable driver. It is still pricey but not nearly as expensive as buying the iSeries Access licensed product from IBM. I don't know how much it costs these days.
