You could do a workstation timeout and after X seconds, write another screen to the display that requires a password to return. But you could do that too with Windows itself and not a 5250/RPG program. -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces+cozzi=rpgiv.com@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces+cozzi=rpgiv.com@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of simafrog Sent: Friday, March 19, 2004 3:20 PM To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Subject: RE: Sensitive data on screen The problem is that if the user walks away from their desk and then we don't want the sensitive data on display like that. After the first screen there is a second screen with the data they want and then they can enter more. It seems to be safer to Non display it as they type. I was wondering what others do in such a case. > -----Original Message----- > From: Haas Matt [mailto:Matt.Haas@xxxxxxxxxxx] > Sent: Friday, March 19, 2004, 1:14 PM > To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries <rpg400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> > Subject: RE: Sensitive data on screen > > So, what you're saying is the customer should be able to key the value in but > not see it? Would you do this via RPG or in the DDS itself. > Thanks, > Rob400 > _______________________________________________ > This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list > To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, > visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/rpg400-l > or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx > Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives > at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l. > > > _______________________________________________ > This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list > To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, > visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/rpg400-l > or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx > Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives > at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l. > _______________________________________________ This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
