Some (old) VISAs have 13 digits, and AmEx has 15. Some other lesser used cards may have an odd number of characters too. However, if you only used the Mod10 formula for the 16 digit VISA or MasterCard numbers in the past, you'd not notice the difference until you hit a different credit card type. Doug
