This has been done by both the tn5250 and tn5250j projects. You can see their code, but don't copy it unless you distribute your project under the GPL. I don't remember the URL for tn5250j, but the code for tn5250 is at: http://tn5250.sourceforge.net Scott Klement wrote the SSL code for tn5250. It uses the OpenSSL libraries.
