I think IBM might claim that they fixed a dangerous bug <grin>  Given the
way that storage allocation is done, I was amazed when you first told me
that this ever worked - it was not supposed to, mainly because of problems
if the group that exports the variable is reclaimed while there is still an
active invocation that imports it.

One small correction.  It is not essential that *CALLER be used - but they
do have to run in the same group.
