ah, the old "we won't let him know the facts" ploy... Very useful tool to keep one humble... Someone there owes you a free doughnut Peter. :) --------------------------------------------------------- Booth Martin http://www.MartinVT.com Booth@xxxxxxxxxxxx --------------------------------------------------------- -------Original Message------- From: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Date: 12/22/2003 4:15:02 PM To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Subject: Re: Skip deleted records from a file The problem has been resolved guys. Is incredible... I really apologize for this inconvenience. No one had told me that there were "more hands over the file" and they were adding records at the same time I was converting records here. I noticed this because the time stamp information we have at the end of the record showed be the last program and user id that maintained the record After clarifying this situation, I recreated the file defining the input file as an INPUT PRIMARY and also as a FULL PROCEDURAL. It worked in both ways. I apologize again, I really do. Some of the stuff I was explaining was kind of uncertain or not clear and I want to apologize for that as well. Thank you Rob, Don and Booth for your immediate help on this one. Best regards, Peter Vidal Pall Aeropower Corp. SR Programmer Analyst WWW.Pall.com
