You wouldn't by chance happen to have a SQL Server laying around, would you? I wonder what would happen if she attempted to retrieve a dataset of that size from that server as a result set from a stored procedure. That might suffice as a proof of concept that a dataset of that size is manageable from her application. Caution: If it works and it blows the doors off of your iSeries your only argument is that their stored procedure doesn't do the intense processing that yours does.
