INLINE would be great. Just guessing, it appears that the built in number is the ILE way of INLINEing a proc. I would like to understand how built ins work. ( the fact that the incorrect signature on the MI built ins causes the compiler to crash is interesting. it indicates that the rpg compiler is designed for code to be inserted inline without the compiler knowing anything about the form of the inline code. ) -Steve -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Bob cozzi Sent: Monday, December 15, 2003 10:06 AM To: 'RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries' Subject: RE: what is a bound program access built in number I think you're talking about in-line code or rather inline procedures. I think IBM has that on our wish list for RPG IV, if/when we ever get overloaded procedures, I would anticipate also getting an INLINE keyword on procedures too.
