museum...

No, the two examples don't do the same thing.   The first one sets
#EMSG whenever FHSSUF is either 'XP' or 'AC' or 'GS'

the second one will never affect #EMSG.  The only way that it could would
be if FHSSUF could be set to 'XP', 'AC' and 'GS' all at the same time.
