Except that you left out the + in the second instance. :) Still, having used += in other languages such as C, it is my opinion that it is EASIER to quickly understand the code with += than by repeating the fieldname. Just like how I gladly dropped Factor1 in ADD etc statements once the compiler accepted that syntax. Doug
