What I would be looking for here is to see if the line numbers on the error messages changed. There was one error for the first line, and four errors for the second line. By moving one of the fields from the first line to the second, or vice-versa, then checking to see if now there were two errors for the first line, or maybe five for the second line, depending on the tactic used, the new error messages would possibly provide a clue as to what the problem is. -----Original Message----- From: Hans Boldt [mailto:boldt@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, November 25, 2003 9:21 AM To: rpg400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: FREE Code: *RNF0312 and *RNF5377 Errors Johnson, Duane wrote: > What have you tried? > Have you tried putting the colon at the end of the first line instead > of at the beginning of the second? > Have you tried moving one of the fields from one line to the other to > see if the error message changes? > ... Just to clarify one point - putting tokens on one line or the other should not make any difference. Coding your statement with, say, one token per line is just the same to the parser as coding them all on one line. Cheers! Hans
