What you might be able to do is 1) Buy the following book: SQL/400 Developer's Guide by Paul Conte and Mike Cravitz from http://store.midrange.com/ and help fund this list. (Seems to be a small problem with that website. Many icons and book descriptions seem to be missing.) 2) Read that. Test many of the capabilities in the book by using RUNSQLSTM, building Query Management Queries from source and CRTQMQRY, iSeries Navigator database functions, etc. 3) Load the SQL development kit and code like crazy for 90 days. After that, if management wants to maintain the code, they can purchase the package. Granted, if you fail to successfully sell your work as a proof of concept test and not be compared to Teddy Roosevelt sending the navy half way around the world and then asking the Congress for money to bring them back, you may be looking for work.
