Keep in mind, that at one time, my email address was TECHSERVIC/DAVEP/rob%Pent@xxxxxxxxxxx And yes, that was my work account. We beat the technicians senseless that originally set up our email and moved it from MSMail to Domino. The truth is, the only real way to validate an e-mail address is to send mail to it, and ask the person receiving the mail to send back a response. If you just want to validate the syntax of the address, along with whether the domain name exists (for example, to catch some keying errors) I wrote a service program which does this for the iSeries Network's Club Tech Programming Tips Newsletter. You can find the article here: http://www.iseriesnetwork.com/resources/clubtech/index.cfm?fuseaction=ShowNewsletterIssue&ID=17632 If you're not a member of the iSeries Network, it costs nothing to set up an "associate" membership, and then you can access that article. If you can't do that, contact me off-list, and I'll see what I can do.
