The issue has been discussed, and a search through the RPG400-L archives
will turn up various discussions.
I'm not sure if there is any email validation routine in RPG. Note that
in general there's no way to be sure any specific email id works other
than sending an email to the address and waiting for a response. There
are ways to validate the domain name part of the address, but that only
gets you part of the way. For the rest, validating the syntax of the id
is not easy due to the range of conventions used by different systems.
