That's a great idea and one which I have implemented in the past. But it is
certainly a pain in the a** to write the code twice. I think this method
just amplifies my point.

  I don't believe that there's a practical solution coming from IBM, so I 
have a suggestion which might benefit your users:  Use the /IF VxRx 
compiler directive and show the before / after technique.
