I feel your pain!  It does seem like these newer features cause as many
issues as they address.  We have to support customers that in some cases
are still on V3R2, so many of the BIF's and features are off limits.  I'm
not talking about free here-- we can't even code %FOUND/%EOF--  We're stuck
with indicators.  With our future releases, we will require V4R2, but that
still leaves a long list of things that we'd like to use, but cannot.

That's just the reality of the install base out there, though.  When a
machine is as rock-solid reliable as the i-series, there really is no
urgent need for these people to upgrade, in their minds.  It's not like
Micro$oft, where bugs abound and you must upgrade to a less-buggy version
to keep working.
