Who are these bright people who are getting it wrong? Granted I been known to dislike some of the implementations in RPG IV (like the colon, some of the free format stuff, etc.) but I don't think bright people are getting the new stuff wrong, I think they are just not be thorough. They assume things work they way they think they should, and that is often no longer the case with RPGIV... and that's too bad. Just as I suspected, this stuff is not as easy as y'all want us huddled masses to believe. --------------------------------------------------------- Booth Martin http://www.MartinVT.com Booth@xxxxxxxxxxxx --------------------------------------------------------- -------Original Message------- From: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Date: Thursday, October 23, 2003 2:19:19 PM To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Subject: RE: Benefits of Sub-procedures I love it when you do that Barbara. -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Barbara Morris Sent: Friday, October 24, 2003 7:51 AM To: rpg400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Benefits of Sub-procedures Joel Cochran wrote: > > And to add to the fine points already listed, using procedures verifies > your program calls at compile time rather than run time. You can make a prototyped call to a program. _______________________________________________ This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
