Isn't emulating Windows environment like emulating a Vega in a Corvette????

Let's see, you use an EMULATOR to use SEU. Why can't you use an EMULATOR to run WDSC? The only thing being instead of emulating a 5250 screen this other emulator would be emulating a Windows environment.

I believe "emulation" is not really a good word to describe it. In fact, WINE is an acronym meaning "Wine Is Not an Emulator"! It's simply a library that implements the Windows API. Sort of like Posix libraries that run on Windows or OS/2. Anyways, the WINE web site (http://www.winehq.com/) has some good information, including a page debunking certain myths about it.

(That said, personally, I've found little reason to use WINE on my home computers.)

Cheers! Hans
