Barbara - I recall that when we first tried to use C library functions back in V3R2 days, we discovered we could not "fake out" floating point values because a float was passed differently "under the hood" than a character field. The result was that we couldn't use the C math functions until float arrived in V3R7. Am I mis-membering? or does this only apply when floats are passed by value?
